Dancing Towers

  • Year: 2014
  • Site: Verona
  • Client: Private
  • Building area: sqm 30,000
  • Service required: architectural planning

The towers rise to a height of one hundred meters in order to allow, through vertical development, a reduction of the plant surface, with the consequent opportunity to create a large park for the community.
The structures contribute to the image of the city of Verona as a pole of activity and innovation, while continuing the tradition of towers in ancient Italian cities. The environmental impact is mitigated by an energy production system that uses renewable sources and eco-friendly materials. All parking spaces are located below ground level.
The two towers were baptized by the community "Dancing Towers" due to the fact that when the point of view changes, they continue to change each other and reciprocally in their relationship. This effect was achieved through the volumetric treatment and the different heights of the two buildings that were also nicknamed "Romeo and Juliet", in honor of the two Veronese protagonists of Shakespeare's famous tragedy.
