Villa Gazzotti Grimani is one of the 24 villas of Andrea Palladio included in the Unesco heritage list.
The restoration project starts with a cognitive analysis on the building and an archive survey on the building and its territory, which follows the methodology developed by Bruno Gabbiani during his years of restoration teaching at the IUAV in Venice.
Great attention is paid to the material values, the characteristics of the artefact and its relationship with the territory. The consequent study of the functions to be installed, compatible with the conditions and the vocation of the artefact, becomes crucial for its conservation.
