CASA AMICA "Aging in One's Own Home"

An evening within the series of meetings "Elderly and Fragility", aimed at family members, volunteers, and citizens interested in supporting and understanding the needs of vulnerable people.

Speakers included:
- Marcella Gabbiani _ Architect
- Laura Ceriotti _ Occupational Therapist

During the meeting, the topic of home safety was explored in depth: it is estimated that between 70% and 80% of accidents involving people over 65 occur inside the home. However, such events can be significantly reduced through targeted interventions and greater attention to space organization.

Architect Marcella Gabbiani, invited to present the experience of Studio Gabbiani, illustrated several design solutions and inclusive design strategies aimed at enhancing autonomy and well-being for older adults in their living environments.

The initiative was part of a broader effort to promote a community that is friendly to people with dementia and to all vulnerable individuals.
