The restoration project of Vera da Pozzo of San Giacomo Palace, historical site of the Bertoliana Library, will start by 2021.

The conservative restoration project of the ancient artifact, dating from the late seventeenth and the first quarter of the eighteenth century, which is set by Gabbiani firm and supported by Lions Club Vicenza Host, is finally starting.

The well is located in the center of the ancient cloister of the San Giacomo Convent, important fulcrum of the architectural space of the Cloisters's Courtyard.
The pit has become the seat of the Bertoliana Library for more than 110 years when, in the early twentieth century, has found here a new abode for its priceless heritge.

The intervention will allow to return decorum to an artifact that is currently damaged and visibly in a poor state of conservation, and yet in addition to the primary funcion of protecting a well , it also represents a work of art.

The commitment of the Gabbiani firm and of the Lions Club Vicenza Host will return a precious symbol to the city, as well as a piece of history.
